Calta Group acquired an apartment building in Coral Gables for $12 million, and it's working on plans to redevelop the property. Venetian Flats LLC, managed by Maria G. Lamas, sold the 32 apartments at 915 Palermo Ave. to Calta Venetian LLC, an affiliate of Coral Gables-based Calta Group, led by brothers Ignazio Caltagirone and Gaetano Caltagirone. Miami-based Terrabank provided a $7.8 million, two-year mortgage to the buyer. The property last traded for $8.2 million in 2021, so it gained in value.
